OGs host the New York Wolverines at DNA Evolution, Saturday at 7 PM
November 7, 2026
The wait is over, OGs Nation! The Herkimer Originals open the 2026-2027 season on Saturday, November 7, when they host the New York Wolverines at 7 PM. The game will be played on the OGs' home court at DNA Evolution, located at 170 Gros Boulevard in East Herkimer.
The Originals are entering their sixth season in the American Basketball Association (ABA), and opening night will be packed with plenty of contests for fans and kids — so bring the whole family!
Last season the OGs finished with a record of 8-11, but the record doesn't tell the whole story: eight of those losses came by single digits — by 1, 2, 3 (twice), 4 (twice), 6, and 8 points. With a core of returning talent, the Originals are looking to turn those close calls into wins this season.
Returning Players
- #0 Jvon Evans — 5'10" Guard
- #1 Kwamae Walker — 6'3" Forward
- #3 Ethan Powell — 5'9" Guard
- #7 Lavoy Leggett — 6'7" Forward
- #8 Brandon Kulakowski — 6'4" Forward
- #23 Zach Sawyer — 6'5" Forward
Opening Weekend continues Sunday, November 8, when the OGs host the Rochester Reapers at 3 PM — also at DNA Evolution.
Come out and support your Herkimer Originals as they kick off the 2026-2027 campaign!
